Getting things done for AFO now. We are apparently now going to stay at the AFO hotel and are hilariously cramming a ton of people into a hotel room, making the cost only come out to $15 a person XD. Me and Gerald's panel, "Win Gerald Rathkolb's Anime" will be at 4 PM, Saturday, so you all should totally come, because I doubt you'll be doing anything else. :P

To Do:
<strike>-Make powerpoint presentation for Final Round of Win Gerald Rathkolb's Anime</strike>
-Finish questions for Round 2 of Win Gerald Rathkolb's Anime
-Cut and Style Orihime wig (and get pictures)
-Cut and Style Borus wig?
Got my summer Tamaki outfit done tonight, all except for the zipper, which I need to get from Joann's. The FATHER shorts are pretty epic. I should be wearing them at AFO for a short period, if anything to get some hilarious pictures by the pool. XD

I REALLY wanted to work on wigs tonight, but I really need new razors because I used up the last of mine while working on all the wigs for Otakon, and Sally's is too far for me to walk to it. I REALLY need them ASAP, because I have to get an Orihime wig done for someone this weekend at AFO, and I also wanted to get Kevin's Borus wig done, so I could give it to him them and get the money for it and Parn. :/

In extra exciting news, I have to work through both the lunch AND dinner shifts tomorrow (11:30-6:00), which should be pretty awful. The sneakers that I wore to work now have a hole in one of them, but I may go back to wearing them jsut because the other 2 pairs of shoes I've tried wearing to work have left my feet in utter agony, which definitely doesn't help when I have to walk 20 minutes to and from work.
Are Random Myspace Messages Ever NOT Hilarious?

So I got this charming message today on Myspace:

hey beatiful.. well wow what can i say... u look fucking gorgeous... im not to sure if you want to have anything to do with guys considering ur bi and most bi girls prefer other girls...but in case im wrong n u wanna talk just drop me a message

APPARENTLY BI GIRLS ONLY WANT TO TALK TO OTHER GIRLS. Or maybe they just don't want to talk to guys that are retarded. XD

So I FINALLY went through all the cute Japanese Pokemon designs and picked out some that I really liked. I have come to the conclusion, by the way, that I automatically will always pick out the boys to cosplay. It seems to come natural. X__x

I will definitely be rewearing my Mudkip Lolita-Princess for AWA, but some of these are just SO cute I may be tempted to make one...

I actually don't know all of the Pokemon (or can't remember, it's been over a year since I even picked up Diamond, and I never played anything between Diamond and Silver)

This was one of my favorite Pokemons from Diamond, but I totally can't remember the name now. I liked her(?) so much that I instantly added her into my party, even though she wasn't all that great for it (ice pokemon aren't always the best for your party...)

And the evolved version. I REALLY love this design.

NO idea what Pokemon this is...

Also have no idea what Pokemon this is either...

One of my favorite Pokemon. I fucking love that the facebutt is on the pants. X3

Oh yeah, and Nikki called me tonight to give me a really god story from Otakon. Apparently on Saturday while they were in their Tsubasa costumes in an elevator, they were told that they had "The Best Costumes he'd ever seen", by a Japanese man. Later, Nikki found out that it was apparently the producer of Cardcaptor Sakura. So she said that now the wig I made for her is sort of famous, or something.

Speaking of which, I'm really kicking myself for not thinking earlier (I thought of it Tuesday night when they were leaving crack of dawn on Thursday) that I should have had more business cards made for Danger Zone Productions for Nikki and Laina, since they'd be wearing wigs by me. Apparently Nikki got lots of compliments on the Sakura wigs I made for her. DDD:

After a LOT of hassle, I managed to get SIX wigs done for Otakon. And I'm not even going, lol! Fai wig for Laina, 2 Tomoyo wigs for Nikki's friend Joani, and 3 Sakura wigs for Nikki. Nikki wound up borrowing a bunch of my wig heads to transport them, so the stairs balcony at my place looks a lot emptier. XD

Gerald is also gone for Otakon, meaning I have the house to myself. I don't have any huge plans, except maybe FINALLY playing Persona FES (T____T), and working on Jin, which I started last week. I'm going to try to get him done for AFO, but there's no huge rush, considering I wouldn't have anyone else I could really wear him with, since my gothic lolita princess hasn't got to start on her costume yet and my hippie Jesus will be working.

Speaking of AFO, I was only planning on going Saturday this year, to host a panel, but decided to go for Saturday and Sunday, since I'll have a free weekend pass anyway. Gerald and I are will be running our new panel "Win Gerald Rathkolb's Anime", ripped off of "Win Ben Stein's Money". It should be fairly hilarious, I'm looking forward to it.

So who else is going to AFO, what days, and what are your costume plans. I'll be in my Mudkip Lolita Princess-chan on Saturday, and maybe Jin on Sunday. If not, I'll figure out something cool to wear. POSSIBLY EVEN NORMAL CLOTHES WHO KNOWS.

I've been way to busy to really make a LJ post, but I finally finished with my summer semester on Tuesday, so I have a glorious 3 and a half weeks off before I go back for Fall. :)

First off, in between working on wigs, I've been playing around with Photoshop. As much as I liked the Ouran wallpaper I made, it was way too busy for my tastes, so I had to make myself a powerful replacement:

EDIT Laina pointed out that no one would know where the picture for this wallpaper came from (and honestly I'm surprised no one has asked), but it comes from Berserk. It's actually pretty subtle, just in the background of the panel. Fuck, I love Berserk. ♥END EDIT

Nikki also requested some icons of her new Sakura costume, so I made some:

I also have been meaning to put this up on here, since I haven't really told anyone that I'm not close to but I am NOT going to be able to attend Dragoncon this year. I had some offers to help me out with paying as a birthday gift, but no matter what, it's still going to be too expensive for me, since I can barely manage enough money for bills every month. So I am just going to concentrate on going to AWA, which I'm sure I'll have lots of fun at, and will cost a lot less than D*Con. I'm hoping to be able to make it to next year's, though; I'm pretty bummed about not being able to go...

Been pretty busy today. I cleaned up around the house (I may actually attempt to finally put in those stupid Ikea drawers that I bought months ago). The process involved me getting VERY angry at the shitty linoleum in our front foyer, which even after I Swiffer Mopped it AND got down on my hand and knees and scrubbed at it STILL looks dirty. My goal is to get my room and the spare room cleaned up by tomorrow, before I have to go to work. Let's see if I can actually do it...

P.S. I've been meaning to post this HILARIOUS video that showed up on my friends page, twice. Once through a fellow cosplayers, and the other through caplock_zutara, where an unbelievable amount of people were complete FAGGOTS, saying stuff like:
I FEEL LIKE I LOST SOME BRAIN POINTS WATCHING THAT.
*HAS THE URGE TO GO ALL MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 ON IT*

and

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?
"GET ME SOME WATER THAT I CAN TORCH?"
WHUUUUUUTTTT????

THE AVATAR FANDOM IS GETTING SUCKED INTO A BLACK HOLE.

I felt the urge to tell the community at large that they were being faggots and to lighten up, but I think I made my comment too late for anyone to actually see it. As an added bonus, I was unable to escape from classes until 3:00, giving me a whopping 2 and a half hours to redo the whole thing.

It didn't come out TOO awful, because I had already figured out the majority of it the day before, so redrawing my illustrations weren't too hard, but I didn't get the other side of the cd booklet I was designing done at ALL, and it was pretty obvious. I almost started crying in front of the class during critique when I was explaining the situation. Luckily, the teacher was pretty understanding, since he knows I can't work on Illustrator at home and he had seen my progress on it the week before. I'm going to email him tonight to see what can be done about it...

On a note that's NOT totally depressing and exhausting (which I am getting PRETTY tired of being as of late >___<), Alina, who made a guest appearance at Metrocon (and somehow managed to do more work than some of our ACTUAL cosplay "volunteers") posted some of the powerful pictures she took at Metro. Including this treasure:

I'm very excited to see the pictures taken on Nikki's camera of me and Laina rolling around in our Berserk costumes (taken in the hotel lobby).

Oh yeah, and Avatar finale was pretty sexy. Although Aang was a whiny bitch and I demand a cartoon sequel movie that has nothing to do with M. Night Shyamalan.

EDIT: Does anyone have any plans on hitting up Joann's this week? I feel like I should take advantage of all the SUPER COUPONS going on. :/

So Laina surprised me by stopping by school today and giving me a new pair of iPod headphones. She looked for them in orange (my favorite color), but they didn't have any so she got my them in "Cool Mint", or "Mudkip Colored". I got really excited when I went to plug them into my iPod shuffle, which IS orange, and realized that I now own a Mudkip iPod. :3

So I accidentally ripped apart one of my iPod headphones today when Gerald was picking me up. It got caught in the bench and when I stood up, it wound up ripping it apart. This really sucks, I really have a hard time working without music, and I am going to have to be at school all day today, from 9:45am until 8:00pm. :(

I also love how even if I wanted to go down to Best Buy sometime during the day, I pretty much can't do it because it would take way too long by bus.

So I was walking out of the Financial Aid office today, holding my Design 1 collage project that I got back, and I was suddenly stopped by a Mom and daughter, who started exclaiming about how much they liked it and asking me what I was going to do with it. When I told them I was just going to put it under my bed, they were shocked and the girl said she would totally have it framed and put up in her dorm room. So they asked if I would possibly sell it, and I wound up getting $30 for it. Which is pretty awesome, since I can use the money, and now I don't have to carry it home.
I swear, I am going to wind up with no hair by the time I turn 25 from stress. I really hate that even though I only sleep about 6 hours a night, I still can't manage to get a head. I barely have any free time, and whenever I do, I wind up just worrying about everything that I need to get done, and feeling guilty that I'm not busy doing something. And the constant worrying about all the nonexistent money I don't have is the worst. :(

I have a small break from school until next Tuesday, because our next Illustrator project hasn't been assigned yet, and I only have a computer wallpaper to design for my next Photoshop project. I have my Design midterm today, which I haven't even gotten to study for yet, but hopefully won't be too hard. I'm making some flash cards with the terms I'm supposed to know for it and am going to review them all beforehand.

Metrocon is approaching a lot faster than I would like to imagine. I keep feeling like there's no way I'll be able to get my Day of Black Sun Sokka done in time, which really sucks because I already have all the stuff bought for it (I actually bought it all back in like December or something), and I really would like to wear it with Nikki and Brooke. :/

Anyways...

-Apply for Stafford Loan
-Look into other student loans available to apply for
-Photoshop Wallpaper
-Make Hand Rendered Element
-Design business cards- personal and Danger Zone
-Transformation Project

-Wigs:
-Order: Borus, Anastasia, Alice, Klavier
-Style:
-Sephiroth
-Default Sakura
-Pigtails Sakura
-Ty Lee
-Fai
-Klavier
-Suki
-Anya
-Alice
-Borus
-Anastasia
-Kos-Mos?

-Ship:
-Christie
-Zoro Plushie
-OP Manga
-Edgeworth Wig
-Iris Wig
-Sephiroth Wig

-Costumes:
-Caska (Metro)
-Sokka (Metro)
-Klavier (Metro)
-Kusanagi (AFO)
-Akihiko (D*Con)
-Steam Punk (D*Con)
-Jin?

So I finally have a LITTLE room to breathe!

The past month has been super stressful for me. I had projects going on for all of my classes, including my Photoshop project where I had to design 2 posters for a cicurs, one modern and one for 100 or so years ago. I was stumped for a LONG time on the concept for these. I spent a lot of time sketching out ideas and staring at different examples of old posters before being able to put something together. However, I am REALLY pleased with the results. Special thanks to Janet, who I used as a model for "Maleyai the Magnificent". :3

I also turned in my latest Illustrator project last night, which turned out pretty awesome, I think. I'm really new with Illustrator, and I'm JUST starting to get the hang of it, so I'm pretty pleased with what I've made so far. I wish I could play around and learn Illustrator at home, but my computer is too awful to handle programs like Illustrator (as it is, I'm working off of Photoshop 7.0 and that's ALL I can get to work...)

But speaking of that, I actually got to ask my Mom about possibly getting a new desktop as a birthday gift, since I have no idea how I am going to survive through the rest of school without being able to work on my school stuff at home. As it is, I'm struggling with school work right now (I actually had to take a day off from work so I could go into the lab to finish my circus posters project), and that's with only TWO graphic design classes. Starting Fall, I'll be enrolled in FOUR. DDD:

Mom didn't say DEFINITELY, but she said some really cool stuff like, "Well, I don't really have that extra money right now since I'm about to go to Vegas for a concert, but we'll see about in a month around your birthday, I should have more money then." :)

My vintage circus poster. I actually hand drew like... everything for it, since hand-drawn illustrations were featured in all old circus posters.

My modern circus poster. All the same stuff written on my vintage poster, but in french to make it "classy". :D

Remember when Carolann made the hilarious mistake of asking 4chan for help with photoshopping herself into a background?

Well, we had to make a t-shirt for my Illustrator class, and I thought it would make an epic shirt. :D

My character drawing project for Illustrator. The version I turned in doesn't have this weird gradient in it, but I can't get that version to open in my Photoshop at home, so I can't put the actual file into a format for the internet. So just imagine this picture, but without the gay gradient. XD

The original picture I used for reference.
