While oggling Annie Lenox a couple of weeks ago, while trying to decide if I wanted to be her for Halloween, since she's my celebrity twin. I saved a bunch of REALLY nice pictures of her from her website. Made a bunch of icons. Here they are:

So I totally forgot about posting some sort of Otakon report. Since I've forgotten most of it, this is mostly just me posting the pictures that I just now finally resized, with ocassion captions. XD

So for my Flash Animation class I had to do a 60 second animation for a song of my choice. I decided on "Let's Do It", the cover by Alanis Morisette, which is quite fabulous. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it. :)

For those that don't know, my roommate Gerald does the podcast AWO (Anime World Order) with our friends Clarissa and Daryl. For their con report for AWA, we (Brian, Laina, Andrea, and me) guest starred on it, so we could talk about important things like rape billboards, shark banks, Vic Mignogna, and butt wallscrolls.

Unfortunately, I've been too busy to actually write up an EXPcon report since EXP happened, so hopefully I haven't forgotten too many things. Luckily, there was much photo documentation, which is what I'll be relying on for the most part. I also figured that now was a good time for it since it's been on my To Do list for 2 weeks, and I don't have the mental energy for any homework right now.

Had an extremely eventful and wonderful weekend! So much was done I am going to write about in bulleted form!

Friday:
-Work til 2
-Came home, napped, got dressed
-Nikki and Joe came by at 5:30
-Met up with Yaya, Brian and Graham at the Blue Martini for powerful Happy Hour martinis
-Went downtown with Graham, first at iBar for College Indie night where we ran into Kevin and Matt
-Traveled over to Backbooth, met up with Lily and Jeff and had an intense hour and a half of dancing until I realized I was too dizzy to stand. Drank a lot of water and headed home.

Saturday:
-Work til 2
-Checked out ALDI with Graham, bought 2 bags of meat tortellini, which I've NEVER found in Florida
-Home to shower and eat
-Out for running errands at Joanns, Walmart, and the Salvation Army
-Home again for a nap and snuggling
-Got up, made our Red House costumes, got dressed, headed out to St. Cloud
-Halloween party at my parents house where my drunk Mom grabbed Graham's butt, and my Dad asked if I was bringing him to Thanksgiving.
-Had to explain the Red House to everyone there, with the exception of Female!Billy Mays. Everyone thought it was hilarious, and one guy really got the joke, at intervals loudly saying, "That chair is PERFECT, for a black person... or a white person!" (In case you have no idea what the Red House is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnOyMSEWNTs)
-Was supposed to sleep over at Lindsey's house, but LOL she forgot to mention anything about a gate and her phone was off, so we drove back to my place

Sunday:
-Slept in somewhat, got up and made breakfast
-Made Alex's birthday gift
-Drove out to Alex's party, and added on an accidental 30 minutes to the trip by not taking the toll road and following Googlemaps LIES, until we had to stop at a gas station and ask a man that spoke little english for directions
-Alex's party, fun though it was plagued by Godzilla-sized mosquitoes at 4 in the afternoon for some reason
-Discovered how much cooler everything is in slow motion. Except me eating pumpkin bread.
-Deito with Graham afterwards to see Zombie Land at the Altamonte Mall

WE WERE ABLE TO DO SO MANY ACTIVITIES. Graham and I both agreed that we WOULD like it if we could have a weekend where we have less going sometime, but that it's impossible for the two of us to NOT plan ahead, so we'll see how that turns out.

So I posted this on Facebook and got some AMAZING responses. Totally wasn't expecting people to answer to characters, but the resulting answers wound up being SO much better than I was expecting!

These are really hot. Also, I want to cosplay this. Unfortunately, I'm not sure as which one, since they're both really, really, RIDICULOUSLY good looking. Although Zoro and his manly!arms are visible, so Nami would probably be a better choice. XD

Just wanted to put this together so I can make sure to get everything done, and so I can feel good about marking stuff off the list when I finish it :D

Got my hair cut today for AWA, and finally went back to it being so short that I can spike it into a fauxhawk. It's a little surprising how happy I am because of the cut, but it's been a long time since I've had it so short since I grew it out for Kanji.

Trucking along getting ready for AWA. Going to play hooky tomorrow for my Mythology class, since going to it would eat about 5 hours out of my day, even though the class is only an hour and 15 mins long (THANKS LYNX BUS). But I'm doing pretty well on everything, so I think I'll be alright.

Doing cosplay related things has kept me amused lately; I think I scared the guy on the bus that I was sitting next to while I hand sewed some gloves because he was half off his seat, dangling into the aisle. Also had to go to Walmart and buy spray paint, gauze, 14 gauge wire, and an ice pick. I made sure to give a creepy smile to the employee that I asked to help me locate the ice pick. X3

So I've been wanting to get a headphones with microphone set for a while now, for listening to music while I'm working/late at night and for talking online (and also for possible invasion of the AWO podcast). Don't want to spend a HUGE amount of money (hoping for no more than $50), but don't want anything too shitty. I spent a lot of time browsing around on amazon.com last week while I had my 7 hour break in between classes, and found these:

Having trouble getting focused on costumes, so I'm going to do what helps me best in this situation: TO DO LISTS (I am such an obsessive compulsive mess)

So I actually zipped and uploaded this musical a couple of weeks ago, but then my computer restarted itself and I lost the Megaupload link. Randomly decided to listen to it again while working of cosplay, and remembered I should put it back up. It's a really fun musical, so I thought other peeps on my friend's list would like it :D

In other news, I've been watching Weiss Kruez (yeah I know, like 7 years too late lol), and have been enjoying it for all the WRONG reasons. By enjoying Weiss the wrong way, I mean I laugh hysterically at all inappropriate parts, like guys getting blown up by vans and girls getting shot for no good reason, and then the bad guys getting smacked around with golf clubs from their boss. Oh, and Omi's gay pink shirt.

P.S. I have been trying to find a software to take screencaps of video, but no luck. I know there is software specifically for this kind of stuff, where it will automatically take caps every couple of seconds during a video. I've actually tried asking people before on comm's where they post a screencap dumps, but they're all jerks and never reply to me. Not quite sure WHY, it doesn't seem like it should be some big secret...

So these were taken something hilarious like... 4 months ago, when Miko and I did a photoshoot with this awesome, sweet lady who just had a studio set up in one of the rooms in her house. The most important thing for me was getting Kanji/Naoto pics (which I STILL have not posted anywhere on LJ...), but she also wanted some other normal shots, so Miko and I both brought a couple of random outfits.

I wore 2 outfits, plus Kanji, but didn't really care much for the pictures in my first outfit (my hair looked really flat, I think after taking the photos I realized it was and fluffed it after putting on the second outfit). Anyway, here's the few shots that I LOVED. They're very inspiring for me to look at, because I really want to be able to do photography like this, and it's a little shocking to realize how pretty I can look. :O
